Melankoli as seen by Lulu Rouge

Lulu Rouge consists of two friends : Thomas Bertelsen aka DJ T.O.M and Torsten Bo Jacobsen aka Buda, from Copenhagen, Denmark. If you loved Trentemøllers The Last Resort on Poker Flat in 2006, you will like the soundscapes of Lulu Rouge. Especially since Anders Trentemøller co-produced quite a few tracks on Bless You. Lulu Rouge have been part of the Scandinavian electronic music scene for some time now. The duo blends a refreshing concoction of Basic Channel sound with playful rumbling bass sweeps, pulsating IDM elements, delayed dub chords, organic instrumentations and gentle vocals. It’s kind like dubby sounds meeting scandinavian pop aesthetics, as the style is somewhere between deep minimal and dub downtempo, but one thing is for sure it is a unique sound that will keep you cozy throughout your quiet moments. Maybe it is time you explore the Scandinavian side of electronica ? It starts here with Melankoli, an awesome chilled song that has also been remixed by The Mungolian Jet Set.
