An ambient mix for the cold winter…

As the winter comes out it can have depressive psychological effects : seasonal affective disorder, insufficient sunlight and so on. I thought about creating an ambient mix that would soothe people out for the cold winter and also embody the coldness of our present season. After all, the idea of modern music as subtle atmosphere, as chill-out, as impressionistic, as something that creates space for quiet reflection or relaxation was born ouf of Brian Eno’s Ambient one : Music for airports, an album that was originally created to calm people at the La Guardia airport in New York in order to ease their tension before taking a plane. Following on the same path, most of ambient music is created in the same pattern but now more evolved with dub bassiles, classical melodies and techno structures.  So here it is folks, The Winter mix : Heading north and beyond…PS : You might wanna check the second volume to this mix also entitled Winter mix 2 : what lies beneath icebergs.
