Monday chilled track with Björk…

Hunter is a song by Björk released in 1998 as the 3rd single from Homogenic perhaps the peak of her career. The song also appeared on the soundtrack to The X-Files movie. According to Björk, the song is about others depending on her : “I guess that song’s about when you have a lot of people that work for you and you sort-of have to write songs or people get unemployed, you know? In most cases, it’s inspiring but in that particular song I was pissed off with it. I was ready for a break but it didn’t seem fair on the people I worked with at the time..”A bunch of remix were done by several electronica artists but the one I prefer is the Skothùs Mix which was done by Icelandic band Gus Gus. Such an incredible song. The strings in the background imitate “Bolero” as Björk growls through a landscape of lush beats and electronica. It expands to over 9 minutes of chilled and soaring depth from Iceland sonic soundscapes.
