This mix could be a soundtrack to a sleepless night in an airport, a restless sleep, or a place where you feel peaceful. Here, instead of brooding soundscapes and spacey sounds, I have instead focused on minimalist drones with simple notes and synth pads. The difference between drone and ambient is that drone music is more minimalistand emphasizes on the use of sustained or repeated sounds, notes, or tone-clusters – called drones. In this mix, I also put some ambient (Black dog, Namlook) but they often use only a single chord or are arranged in a way where the space between the sounds are as relevant as the sounds themselves. I hope you’ll enjoy this mix and that it will bring you to a calm place where nothing matters but the feeling of being complete, and at ease with yourself and the world.
