Yagya in 90 minutes (Mix Tribute)
A student of computer science at the University of Iceland, Yagya spends his free time creating music on his computer. He concentrates on atmospheres and moods and tries to reflect the beauty of the world around him in the sounds of his music. He seeks influence in the works of Gas, Philip Glass, Basic Channel, Brian Eno and anything that is true to itself and it’s ideas. Yagya concentrates on the softer side of music and avoids heavy rhythms. He finds harmony and beauty in the simple sounds of nature and wants his music to flow naturally through the listener. Icelandic producer Yagya (Aðalsteinn Guðmundsson) has been creating atmospheres through melody and sounds since the 1990s. A definitive member of the Thule Musik collective, Yagya is definately one of the most important producers in the electronic music community. Here is a mix of 20 of his tracks featured here with videos in 4 K of landscapes from Iceland.

The Orb – Blue room 60 min edit – The Lysergic UFO Acid Trip
A 57 minutes extended edit version of The Orb’s Blue room (1992) with several weird samples underlying the Orb’s music. In fact, I have used more than 50 voice samples and extended the track from 34 minutes to 57 minutes with the awesome basslines of The Orb and studio wizardry of Kris Weston. I will remove upon request. NO LSD was used during this process.
Mental Cube 1988-1995
Out of Detroit, Techno and then New Beat in Belgium and just before Trance, there was a very hedonist and pure european rave culture. The breakbeats (early hardcore) were also played at Rave parties were in between 1988 – 1995 and raves back then often had 4-5 rooms with very eclectic music that ranged from acid house to trance, techno, house, breaks and ambient. By 1995, Oldschool Raves ended and movies like Trainspotting were released. Raves combined New Beat, Acid House and early Techno like the seminal track Q from Mental cube (aka FSOL). Old school raves will never die! #breakbeats #Rave #Earlytechno #acidhouse #techno #trance #ambient #ecstacy

The ambient-house revival – Planet Love 3 h 33 mix
Finally, there is a discernible revival for the short lived ambient-house genre. This is surely a sign that the 90’s are getting the retro love it deserves, and I’m all for it. Interest for this era has never been higher in eons. Those tracks are full of space-alien references, obscure movies from the 90’s, meditation lectures from gurus of that time like (John C. Lilly 1915-2001) and dreamy pads infused with acid leads. Most of these tracks found their way onto the shelves of many discerning listeners in the 90’s thanks to a frothy mix of dubwise ambient house and melodic electronica primed for post-club melting sessions. DJs playing downbeat electronica and slow trance should take a look at these tracks as interest for this era has never been higher in eons. File under ambient/ chill out / house / trance / acid & bleepy melodic chill anthems.

Sampling FSOL (A collection of Samples, rarities, remixes & covers)
There is so much musical diversity and sheer ingenuity on FSOL’s music. Gaz Cobain has said that FSOL’s mentality has always been about making a journey of an album rather than focusing on trying to have hit singles. Here is a mix of rare and obscure tracks sampled by FSOL, remixes of the band, covers and edits.

Well the way I see it it’s exactly the same. There ain’t no difference between a flying saucer and a time machine. People get so hung up on specifics. They miss out on seeing the whole thing. Take South America for example. In South America thousands of people go missing every year. Nobody knows where they go. They just like disappear. But if you think about it for a minute, you realize something. There had to be a time when there was no people. Right?

Drifting In Space – The Fifth Element (Ambient mix)
The 5th element known as space or aether is the material that fills the region of the universe beyond the terrestrial sphere. Integrating experimental techno, actual samples from deep space radioscopy (specifically recordings of pulsars), and spoken words by Dr. Frank Drake (a senior scientist with the SETI Institute). While Project Phoenix scanned about 1,000 stars all within 200 light years, the distance away from Earth makes the travel even further to Proxima Centauri, Ophiuchi and Omega Nebula.

Anders Trentemøller mix tribute
Last year I ve made a mix on Trentemoller, just for myself, to listen to on the train journey to Montréal which takes accurately 2 h 33 minutes.
I ended up reworking this one for a few weeks – months. IDK? But the result is a 2 h 22 minutes mixtures of minimal techno, pop, shoegaze, electro, deep house, edits & dark cold wave (Think Joy division) ———> his last 3 albums are absolutely fantastic! Obverse, Fixion and Memoria. It’s like Portishead would meet Ian Curtis for an extended session, and this is why I decided to publish this one.
”Music is for sharing with people. — The Irresistible Force I think there’s a story inside every one of us and we all have different talents that allow us to tell our story whether that be through words, art, crafts, music or simply by sharing our life with those we love. Don’t let your story go untold.” — Susan Rushmore
Trentemøller started music in the late 1990s with different indie rock projects. In 2006, Trentemøller released his debut album The Last Resort. Trentemøller’s later music has been described as synthwave and pop. His early tracks (especially The Last Resort) show influences drawing from early downtempo and trip hop, minimal, glitch, and darkwave with an often cinematic feel. He cited amongst his influences Siouxsie and the Banshees, My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Joy Division, and Depeche Mode. His music has also been used by film directors, including Oliver Stone (Savages), Pedro Almodóvar (The Skin I Live In), and Jacques Audiard (Rust and Bone).
